GIS Day 2019
November 13, 2019 - 7th GIS Day on Telegrafenberg Potsdam
The German Research Center for Geosciences GFZ and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research PIK cordially invite you to participate in this year's event on Telegrafenberg.
What are geographic information systems used for today? What does GIS as a trendsetting cross section technology perform in science and industry? The event focusses on presentations that showcase current GIS projects and new applications. Users and developers are giving insights into their work and allow us to experience the opportunities of GIS and the issues of the GIS community in 2019.
GIS Day provides an international forum for users of geographic information systems technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society. The initiative wants to encourage people to learn about geography and the benefits of GIS. Participation is open to everyone. It takes place anually, being celebrated all around the globe since 1999
The program for the GIS Day 2019 is now available! Next to many interesting talks and two posters, we are happy to have one workshop among our contributions. If you are interested in taking part in the workshop, please let us know and send us a short reply by mail. The workshop provides space for 20 participants. Seats are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Please note that all workshop participants must bring their own equipment:
